Entertaining, personal, informative: Holsteiner breeders' brunch with the Verband...

Seven Verband stallions showed themselves under training conditions in Elmshorn on the third Advent and "we will do that again", was the conclusion of Managing Director Sebastian Rohde at the first Holsteiner breeders' brunch.

The team from Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH had invited guests to view a number of stallions in a cozy, pre-Christmas atmosphere in the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle and exchange ideas. Union City by United Way-Connor (Alf Bartholomäus, Klein Offenseth) and Deichkind by Don VHP-Limbus (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen) are three-year-olds, completed a short course and then - like all the stallions presented - showed themselves in hand. The five-year-old Daikon by Dominator Z-Cassini I (Manfred v. Allwörden, Grönwohld) and the seven-year-old Chezarro by Casall-Conteur (Gabriele Kowalski, Stadum) recently placed several times at shows and confirmed their form at the jump. "That really makes us look forward to next year," says Rohde. Million's Way by Million Dollar-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn) and Corfu de la Vie by Cumano-Lord (Haras de la Vie, BEL) were also successful recently in Leck and Verden and earned words of praise from Hilmar Mayer, who has been training the Verband stallions and riders regularly for several weeks: "Working with such a motivated team is really fun and I'm looking forward to the further development of these great stallions." United Way by Uriko-Concerto II (HV Hengsthaltungs GmbH, Elmshorn) concluded the entertaining training session, which Henner Hoeschen hosted together with Sebastian Rohde.

Afterwards, the participants sat together, had brunch, laughed and discussed possible mating decisions for the coming breeding season. "This format offers good opportunities for a personal exchange, so we are already looking forward to repeating it," concluded Sebastian Rohde with satisfaction.

A voucher for the covering of a three-year-old Verband stallion was up for grabs at the breeders' brunch.
