(Elmshorn) On 17April, the traditional Holsteiner Verband spring auction followed by a stallion licensing is held at Elmshorn, inviting breeders, riders and horse enthusiasts from Germany and abroad to look forward to a high-quality lot of young talented horses and interesting stallion prospects.
The event focusses on just under 30 carefully selected young horses boasting modern performance genes and a bright sport horse outlook. All the auction horses come from proven Holsteiner mare families and combine international top sires and promising young studs bred on top of high-performing dam lines. Horses suited for upper-level amateur sport are also part of the collection. Moreover, nine of the lots are three-year-old jumpers in the beginning training stages and will demonstrate their ability free jumping. Such as for example lot 4, Evoila by Esmeraldo-Casall from famous mare family 104A. This three-year-old mare’s second dam is none other than O-Contendro, a full sister to high-profile stallion, Contendro. Million Dollar is represented by as much as four offspring in the collection. Being five- and six-year-olds, all of them are ready to get going in the upcoming showing season. One of them, the stunning five-year-old mare My Kalina MLP by Million Dollar-Kannan (lot 117) already commanded loads of attention at the opening presentation on 30 March.
“Every year, the spring auction is an important meeting for our breeders and clients across the world. We are happy to present another collection able to meet the highest standards in 2026”, says Felix Flinzer, executive director of the Holsteiner Verband marketing and auction GmbH.
The collection’s second live presentation on 17 April at 12.30 pm at the Fritz-Thiedmann-indoor arena is also streamed via Clipmyhorse.tv. Afterwards and prior to the start of the auction at 6.30pm, the horses may be tried out one final time.
