The first foals of the year are born and the next breeding decisions are due – and if you’re looking for inspiration or just want to see a live performance of the young Verband stallions, you should definitely hit the road to Elmshorn on Monday, 1 May 2023. From 10.00am, the Herbert-Blöcker-outdoor arena belongs to the three- to seven-year-old Verband stallions.
With about 15 stallions on parade, visitors can look forward for example to three-year-olds Deichkind by Don VHP Z, Union City by United Way and Vidalgo by Von Holstein, all of whom have recently successfully completed short ability testing and are now permitted to be used at stud. The former champion stallions, Cahil by Cornet Obolensky and Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles are among those performing a jumping course, same as Chezarro by Casall, Cardentos by Cardento and Charaktervoll by Comme il faut and several others. Lukas Fischer arrives with Fidano by Fidertanz, so that Holsteiner dressage horse fans will get their money’s worth, as well. Some foals by young Verband stallions are also expected to arrive and round off the programme, providing additional information on the stallions’ inheritance.
The presenter is Henner Hoeschen whereas Nisse Lüneburg comments on the stallions’ performance. With the young Holsteiner breeders selling lottery tickets, three lucky winners will be drawn. One euro per ticket offers you a chance to win one of three free young stallion services. After the presentation, a tour of the stable provides an opportunity to meet the stallions up close up and ask questions to the stallion stable team. Entry to the event is free.
