About Cascolero
Already at the pre-selection, this special Casall son had raised a lot of interest and expectations, which he impressively confirmed with his performances at the Holsteiner December grading at Elmshorn. This expressive stallion personality presents himself in a dark coat and captivates his audience with loads of ability, big movement, and a powerful push-off.

Sire
Casall is unrivalled in his ability to stamp his offspring. Casall has achieved everything in sport and at stud, is still highly relevant and an integral part of the international breeding scene. He has been in the top 10 of the international WBFSH sire ranking for years now. Casall and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson finished in the top 25 at major championships, including the London 2012 Olympics, the Herning 2013 European championships and the Caen 2014 World championships. At Herning, he took team bronze with the Swedish team and finished fourth individually. For many years, Casall performed with impressive and exceptional consistency – especially in the Global Champions Tour. In 2016, at 17 years of age, Casall won the Valkenswaard, Paris and Doha legs and thus the overall standing of the Global Champions Tour. Casall Ask retired from competition at the age of 18, healthy as the proverbial horse.

Damline
Cascolero’s dam, Joy III, has produced a licensed stallion with her first breeding effort. His second dam, C-Belladonna, is dam to the licensed stallion Conthadini (ex. C-Joker) and a full sister to Bella Donna, a highly successful international horse, first with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (GER) and later with Hamad Ali Mohammed (QAT). Nine-year-old, she finished third in the Aachen grand prix and was nominated for the London Olympics in 2012. She won the 2013 Nations Cup at Hickstead (GBR) and the 1.55m class at Thermal (USA), came second in the Vienna (AUT) leg of the Global Tour and fourth in der Global Tour at Cannes (FRA). His third dam, Orlis I, has eight sport horse offspring, the majority of them with international placings under their girth. The mare family 7126 is renowned for a great number of special offspring. The stallions Acord I and II, Acobat I and II and Burggraf had a major influence on the Holsteiner breed in earlier times and also today stallions such as Charisma, Casalido, Conthadini and now Cascolero represent the family in modern sport horse breeding.

Considerations for breeding by Sebastian Rohde
“Other than passing on his sport horse qualities, Cascolero is expected to improve type, above all. His consistently impressive free jumping performance in combination with the genetic reliability of his dam line suggest that he will pass on his thrilling jumping ability to his offspring. In view of his medium frame, he is best suited for rather big-framed mares.”
