Elite Riding Horse Auction: Meyer-Zimmermann Stable Secures Charaktervoll Daughter...

Cim-Charlien is the name of the filly which had already commanded a lot of interest in the run-up to the Holsteiner elite riding horse auction. The three-year-old (damsire: Quo Vados I), lot 107, was bred by Stephanie Kuss (Altlandsberg) and is a representative of mare family 776. The bay doesn’t have to travel a long way from Elmshorn to her new owners, as she is going to be one of the new talents at the stable of Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Christoph Zimmermann in Pinneberg. Cim-Charlien was knocked down at 120,000 euros by auctioneer Hendrik Schulze-Rückamp. The second-most expensive lot was Lavinnia LA by Lewine-Crunch (Laß KG, Leck) from mare family 504, realizing 57,000 euros. After Olympic rider Christoph Wahler’s recent announcement to retire his Holsteiner success horse Carjatan S from elite sport in order to use him as a schoolmaster, the head of Klosterhof Medingen now purchased this promising mare, lot 125, at Elmshorn for his sporting future. Lot 105, Madonna by Casaltino-Darco de Revel (Hark Arfsten, Havelberg), mare family 5382, was worth 55,000 euros to her new US American owners. A four-year-old grey mare by Cornet Obolensky-Christian (Kai Wullweber, Todesfelde), mare family 6582, lived up to her name: owned by the Holsteiner Verband marketing and auction stable, Non Plus Ultra was one of the first horses to move to Elmshorn in the spring, jumped up wins in young horse classes with Arne van Heel during the showing season and was now sold for 51,000 euros at the elite auction. The marketing and auction GmbH had also secured a share in Madonna in advance. “I’m happy with this auction result and I’m very grateful to the breeders and owners for their confidence in placing their horses with us“, recapped auction manager Felix Flinzer. The average price achieved at the elite riding horse auction was 37,650 euros.

Beyond that, by purchasing the charity foal, Trippeltrappel, a long-time Holsteiner auction client helped to ensure that the Therapeutic Riding Advisory Board of the Schleswig-Holstein Horse Sports Association (PSH) received a generous donation: Francesca Pollara from Great Britain bought the pony colt for 4,500 euros for this good cause.
