Last weekend, numerous top show jumpers gathered for the Global Champions Tour leg in Vakenswaard, the Netherlands. In the 1.60-metre Grand Prix, Keaton HV by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wesselburen), line 4847, and Arne van Heel (NED) once again demonstrated their strong form, finishing fourth after two clear rounds. Cordial by Casall-Chicago Z (Hans-Hermann Gempf, Stelle), line 325, and Denis Lynch (IRL) also qualified for the jump-off and finished seventh. Keaton and Arne van Heel had already finished third in the qualifier (1.60 metres) – ahead of Harrie Smolders (NED) and Monaco by Cassini II-Contender (Ralf Lütje, Haseldorf), line 429.
A CSIO4* event was taking place simultaneously in Avenches (SUI). Here, Lireu by Legolas-Landgraf I (Hans-Dietrich Wree, Hochviöl), line 5964, with Niklas Schurtenberger (SUI) took fourth place in a 1.50-metre jumping competition. And Quno by Quo Vados I–Cash and Carry (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), line 776, and Edouard Schmitz (SUI) also took third place in the U25 Tour (1.50 metres) over 1.50 metres.
