Especially in the Netherlands, at the World Cup in Amsterdam, several horses advertised Holsteiner breeding this weekend:
Elysium by Zirocco Blue-Coronado (Manfred Tummes, Mühlheim), dam line 4539, and Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) secured victory in the 1.60m Grand Prix after finishing second the day before. None of the other nine couples in the jump-off undercut the fast round in the Grand Prix without errors – another Holsteiner horse came in second: Dywis H descends from Toulon and Corofino II (Peter Huismann, NED), line 741, and was ridden by Maikel van der Vleuten (NED).
In the World Cup it was Quno by Quo Vados-Cash and Carry (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), dam line 776, and Edouard Schmitz (SUI), who placed second.
Sanne Thijssen has with Clarima by Clarimo-Quintero (Carsten Schafmeyer), line 1859, an interesting horse in the stable: With the grey mare, she won a 1.45 meter class and ranked bronze in another.
In Oliva (ESP) won with Catenda by Casall-Contender (Detlef Hennins, Bendorf), line 2067, and Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) a couple with successes up to 1.55 meters. In 2022, for example, they finished the five-star tournament in Paris (FRA) in second place. Now they led the award ceremony of a 1.45 meter competition in Spain.
Cascalretto by Casall-Calando I (Pieter Dolfsma, EE Kampen), line 776, had his first international successes under Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER). The American Vanessa Hood is now in his saddle and finished third in a competition over 1.45 meters in Wellington (USA). Directly behind, in fourth place, jumped a former Holsteiner auction horse: Herr Lucio v. Legolas-Cero I (Ahsbahs GbR, Bokel), tribe 275, is ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA).
