Verband stallions in portrait: Camino Royal

Camino Royal is an eye-catching athlete with a lot of ability and good movements. The always self-confident Clarimo son impresses with his type, his generous, uphill canter and his correct foundation. Careful, taking off with loads of impulsion, his hind leg activity is particularly striking. When jumping, it is very obvious he is related to Keaton.

In March of this year, Camino Royal already shone at his sport test in Verden. The stallion received a score of 9.0 for his rideability, 8.7 for his jumping ability and overall impression and 8.5 for his canter.

"Camino is very easy to ride and has a good trot as well as a good canter. He gives a great feeling at the jump," revealed his trainer Massimo Bonomi, who is already looking forward to showing this talented young stallion at his first competitions.

Clarimo is doubtless one of the Holsteiner studbook’s most interesting jumping sires. Successful through 1.60m jumping classes himself, he is known to pass on his jumping ability, fighting spirit, and jumping manner with powerful take-off to his offspring. Currently placed 28th on the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) ranking. We are happy to have Camino Royal, a promising young sire by Clarimo, in our stallion stock.

His dam Zaraha II has now already produced two licensed Holsteiner stallions, as she has already had Keaton, a promising young Holsteiner Verband stallion. The 2021 showing season saw the typey bay perform impressively in young horse jumping classes at M level up to the final of the National Championship (7th).
The damsire, Contendro I, used to be one of the most frequently used stallions in Germany. The successful offspring produced at that time includes Codex One, Conthendrix, and Holiday by Solitour.
