On 5 February from 2.30pm, it will be the second time since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH stallions have to be presented to the breeders online via ClipMyHorse.TV. Having received lots of praise and critical acclaim already last year, the concept is to see further upgrades and improvements in 2022. The three- to five-year-old stallions will not only be shown free jumping or performing a course, but also in the stable, in side view and in hand at walk and trot. “In times of Covid it is rather difficult for the breeders to see the stallions under real life conditions. That is why we believe this additional service might be helpful in deciding for which stallion to breed to”, says executive director Norbert Boley. Only the free jumping of the three-year-olds will be recorded in advance in order to spare the viewers the long interruptions of the on-screen live broadcast needed to rebuild the course.
Beside TB stallion Innenminister, it is Nohoval – the Nixon son recently discovered at the Westphalian stallion grading - as well as Update by United Way and Zuccarello by Zuccero, both licensed for breeding at the main stallion grading in Neumünster in November 2021. Another stallion licensed very recently – at the Elmshorn January approval, same as his stable mate Nohoval – is four-year-old Camino Royal by Clarimo. This half-brother to Keaton is already four years of age and is to jump an age-appropriate course, same as the other stallions in this age group, including Dominator Z son Daikon, Dilaro by Dinken and last but not least, the 2020 champion champion, Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles. Expectations are running high for the stallions turning five this year, for example the reigning State Champion, Charaktervoll by Comme il Faut, the 2019 champion stallion, Cahil by Cornet Obolensky, or Cardentos by Cardento and Dubliner by Dinken.
The little bit older and more experienced stallions are presented under saddle by our proven team, comprising Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, Massimo Bonomi, Jesse Luther, Kimberly Kühl, and Marten Witt. But there will be a new face as well: Arriving from Pfungstadt, Sophie Hinners is to perform a course in the saddle of Million Dollar by Plot Blue, National Champion Crack by Cornet Obolensky as well as Daymian, the Darco son approved for Holstein several weeks ago. And it goes without saying that no Holsteiner Verband stallion parade would be complete without these two things: first of all, the proven mature sires, like Casall, Uriko and Clarimo, which are shown in hand. And the other some videos of promising Verband stallion offspring which might definitely help with the decision-making process. Speaking of tradition: the event is presented and commented by an experienced duo, Tjark Nagel and Carsten Sostmeier.
