In just a few days – from 14 December – the Holsteiner young stallion licensing and auction opens the doors to friends of the Holsteiner horse from all across the globe. On Saturday, 16 December, the auctions of the riding horses and stallions for sale will conclude the event.
Auction manager Felix Flinzer and his team have selected seven promising candidates for the riding horse lot, most of them already with age-appropriate results in competition. Like for example lot 105, Callum by Clearway-Untouchable – this five-year-old has already been placed in 1.10m classes. Moreover, his dam is a full sister to 1.60m level jumper Cracky Z by Caretano Z (Lauren Hester/USA). Lot 106, Dahlia la Quadra by Diarado-Cassini I, has a long list of successful relatives: her second dam’s produce includes Chelsy by Cassini I, a highly successful mare at 1.50m level (Kama Michelle Godek/USA). She comes from the direct damline of VDL Cardento by Capitol I (Peter Eriksson/SWE) and VDL Cartello by Cartani (Darragh Kenny/IRL), belonging to the valuable mare family 741. Four-year-old Lakeside by Larimar-Clarimo (lot 107) has already been shown in competition and is intent on following in the hoof steps of his highly successful sport horse relatives: Cheppetta by Chepetto (Kevin Staut/FRA), Calle Cool by Concerto II (Nisse Lüneburg/GER) or world champion Caillan by Casall (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson/SWE), to name just a few. The riding horse collection is completed by a true winner, lot 108, Optimus Prime. The four-year-old by Ogano Sitte-Connor has already won young horse jumping classes and the produce of his second dam, a full sister to Kevin Staut’s (FRA) Ophelia II by Cassini II, includes several international sport horses.
47 potential future breeding stallions are presented for licensing at Elmshorn. The stallions same as the riding horses can be viewed online with photos, videos, pedigrees, relatives’ performance records and information whether the stallions are for sale on www.holsteiner.auction. Felix Flinzer (phone: +49 162-3493942) will be happy to answer any questions on the horses, the procedure and the auction itself. The hybrid auction sales starts around noon on 16 December.
