How does the pre-selection process work?

The stallions will be presented in several stages:

1. Measurement of the stallions

2. Free jumping and free walking in the indoor arena: The stallions are presented whilst free walking and free jumping in the indoor arena. The committee oversees the proceedings and decides on the height of the jumps (maximum 130 cm) as well as their number. All stallion breeders and trainers are requested to ensure that their stallions jump freely in a proper and natural manner. New: Following the free jumping, the committee decides which stallions are to be presented on firm ground.

3. Presentation on firm ground: The selected stallions are presented in hand, walking and trotting, on firm ground.

4. Presentation in groups in the ring: Finally, the stallions are presented in groups, led by hand, in the ring.

When will the results be published?

The results of the pre-selection will be published on our website on Thursday, 29 October 2026. Stallion breeders will also be informed in writing by email as to whether their stallions have been admitted or not to the licensing inspection.

Spectators are very welcome to attend the pre-selection at the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle in Elmshorn! Admission is free.

A detailed timetable is expected to be published in calendar week 43, once the participants have confirmed their readiness to compete.
