Clarimero by Clarimo-Catoki, bred by Bettina Friemel, line 3615, is writing a remarkable success story: this evening, the seven-year-old Holsteiner, ridden by Alexander Schill, secured the title of Al Shira’aa National Champion of seven-year-old show jumpers.
His story began at the German Show Jumping and Dressage Derby in Hamburg-Klein Flottbek, where Clarimero once caused a sensation as the top-priced lot at the Holsteiner foal auction. The Schill family recognised the special potential of the young Clarimo son even back then and secured the foal. Since then, Clarimero has been consistently trained and developed by Alexander Schill – right up to tonight’s triumph in the National Championships.
Clarimero’s success is no coincidence: his dam herself is successful up to 1.40 metres. His granddam is none other than the legendary Zera by Cero, who won the Hamburg Show Jumping Derby under Pato Muente (ARG). And from this family, which has its roots at Harm Thormählen in Kollmar, comes, amongst others, Ornellaia by For Pleasure (John Whitaker/GBR). Entire books could be written about Clarimero’s sire, Clarimo, and the successes of his offspring.

Fourth place in the highly competitive 1.45-metre final class was also secured by Uniper MK by United Touch S-Diarado (Manfred Keysers), line 429, with Matthias Gehring in the saddle.
