Different, but also good: this is the credo for the adapted concept of the event surrounding the Holsteiner Spring Auction and Licensing on 29 March 2025 in Elmshorn. The originally planned stallion presentation will not take place, but other highlights await spectators on the Saturday of the event.
Those responsible decided to cancel the stallion presentation after some stallion owners withdrew their participation due to the herpes outbreak on a farm in the Steinburg district. The association team has now adapted the event to the changed circumstances: The licensing originally scheduled for Friday (28 March) will now take place on Saturday, 29 March 2025, starting at 12 noon. A personalised format for interested parties will then take place from around 3 pm with a breeders' fair: Stallion owners will set up their stand in the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle and will not only be able to engage in direct dialogue with breeders, but also present their stations and stallions on an entertaining stage. There will also be specialist presentations on how to get your dream foal as well as registration and registration options with the Holsteiner Verband - the all-round package from choosing the right stallion to foal birth and registration. And that's not all: stallion owners' stud fee vouchers will be raffled off and free beer will be served. At 6.30 pm, auctioneer Hendrik Schulze-Rückamp will take to his podium and the bidding duels of the spring auction can begin. Afterwards, there will be a proper celebration at the After Auction Party! Admission to the entire event is free.
By the way: The final presentation of the auction horses will take place as planned on Friday, 28 March 2025, at 4 pm. This can be viewed live in Elmshorn or streamed on ClipMyHorse.tv.
