The Holsteiner stallion days and the spring auction, organised by the Holsteiner Verband at Elmshorn on 22 and 23 March 2024, are an event where stallion grading, stallion presentation and auction go hand in hand. With tickets still available, a look at the just published catalogue of the stallion presentation shows which stallions will be in attendance.
The event opens on Friday (22 March) with the licensing and the presentation of the auction horses. The stable chat on Saturday (23 March) from 1:00pm provides breeders and interested visitors with the opportunity the get to know the around 35 presented stallions from all stations in their box stalls, get information and exchange mating ideas for the 2024 breeding season. Nest on the agenda is the stallion presentation at 3:00pm, showcasing the stallion stations Ahlmann, von Allwörden, Bengtsson und Fromberger, the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH, Maas J. Hell, Rödl and Völz, same as the stallion owners Lauck, Voss, and Witt as well as the main stud of Celle and the main and state stud of Neustadt upon Dosse. Visitors can look forward to Holsteiner champion stallions, premium stallions and national championship finalists same as stallions with international achievements: this includes for example the former champion stallions Esmeraldo by Emerald van het Ruytershof and Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles, but also Duplexx by Diarado, Diamant de Operette VA by Diamant de Semilly and Coquetto by Cornet Obolensky, who can boast current results in competition. Moreover, visitors may look forward to the Casall sons Casentos, Central Park and Chezarro. Chin Grey, the highest-prized lot of the most recent Holsteiner auction, will also be there, same as his sire, Chinchero by Chopin, and many other top interesting breeding stallions.
The stallion presentation is an exclusive live event and is not live streamed, but will only be available in the ClipMyHorse.tv media library the next day. After the stallions, the indoor arena belongs to the auction horses again, with the hybrid auction sale to kick off at about 6:30pm. Afterwards, you can continue socialising at the After Auction Party. Admission is free on Friday 22 March. Tickets for the Saturday are available from 5,- euros, through eventim as well as all known ticket agencies and the Holsteiner Verband Elmshorn facility.
