Holsteiner Results: Django Riff wins the Herning Grand Prix

What a success for this young Holsteiner pair: Tomma Thiesen and her nine-year-old Django Riff by Diarado-Cassini II (Frank Neumann, Ausacker), line 4026, left the international field behind in the Herning (DEN) Grand Prix over 1.50 metres. With a clear round in 35.69 seconds in the jump-off, the pair secured victory – leaving prominent names such as Kevin Staut, Peder Fredricson and German Champion Laura Klaphake behind them. Django Riff had already proved himself to be a fast horse three years ago at the Holstein State Championships in Elmshorn, when he became champion of the six-year-olds with Maximilian Gräfe.

A CSI5* show jumping competition was held in El Jadida (MAR) at the weekend. Here, Jérôme Guery (BEL) took fourth place with the ten-year-old Clearboy by Cornet Obolensky-Casall (Sofino S.C., BEL-Vieth-Recht), line 6879, in a 1.55-metre show jumping class. Breeder’s daughter Katja Haep (BEL) originally brought Clearboy, who comes from the direct dam line of Corrado I, into the sport – just like his half-sister Anuschka by Clarimo, who has enjoyed success at over 1.60 metres. Jump for Joy by Cascadello I–Clinton I (Sport A Media S.R.O., SLO-Vinicne) and Santiago Diaz Ortega (COL) also returned to their home stables with a victory over 1.50 metres. Maxi Lill also rode Kommandant by Comme il faut–Diarado (Georg Poitzmann, Wetter), line 776, to fourth place in this competition.
