The Holsteiner horse days held in mid-June are an absolute must for equestrians, breeders and Holsteiner enthusiasts in the North. Visitors to the outdoor event held at the Elmshorn Verband facility from 11 to 15 June 2025 may look forward to a varied programme.
In addition to the Holsteiner State Championships, qualifiers for the National Championships, the auction sale, Verband mare show and dressage and show jumping classes at advanced level, dressage and show jumping sport tests for four- to six-year-old stallions according to the new stallion performance testing system take place against a worthy backdrop in the Herbert-Blöcker-outdoor arena. German stallions from all studbooks are eligible for the stallion tests. The equestrian programme kicks off already on Wednesday, 11 June, and continues until Thursday (12 June) with the focus on dressage classes and the corresponding State Championships. From Friday, 13 June, the sole focus is again on show jumping, the “Holsteiner core business“. The qualifiers for the State Championships and Friday evening’s jumping class at S* level prepare for the weekend. Post-competition on Friday night, it’s party time in the marquee.
Foal Auction Sale on Saturday at 3 o‘clock
On Saturday, 14 June, the first jumping champions are selected while the foal auction sale scheduled at 3 o’clock in the afternoon marks another highlight. The programme continues in the same interesting vein, with the Grand Prix of the Theurer Trucks GmbH & Co. KG scheduled for Saturday evening. And afterwards the programme goes on: the bull riding will determine the Holsteiner titans in another sort of saddle. And on Sunday morning the spotlight will be on the very best mares born in 2021 and 2022, when the Holsteiner champion mares are selected at the Verband mare show, followed by the best five- and six-year-old talents competing for the State Championship titles under saddle.
Entertainment for All Ages – Admission is Free
