On 28 and 29 March, the Verband's facilities in Elmshorn will once again be the venue for a top-class event: at the Holsteiner Stallion Days with Spring Auction, a licensing and joint stallion presentation of private and Verband stallions will take place in addition to the auction.
On Friday, 28 March 2025, the licensing will take place first: From 1 pm, the three-year-olds will be shown in hand and in the free jumping arena, while the older ones will also be shown under the rider. Around a dozen stallions will face the commission. The final presentation of the auction horses is scheduled for 4 p.m. - incidentally, they will make their first public appearance on Monday, 10 March at 6 pm.
On the Saturday of the event, 29 March 2025, there will be one last opportunity to try out the spring auction bids in the morning. From 1 pm, the stable gates will open for a chat: here you can get to know the sires from nine stations who have travelled to the stall and ask the station representatives questions. Dirk Ahlmann Stallion Station, Bengtsson Stables, Fromberger Stallion Station, Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH, Klosterhof Medingen, Maas J. Hell GmbH Stallion Station, Rödl Sportpferde GmbH, Sven Völz Stallion Station and Witt Pferdezucht GbR will be taking part in the presentation with their sires. The stallion show starts at 3 pm. The day will then culminate in the spring auction at 6.30 pm and end with the after-show party from 10 pm.
Admission is free on 28 March. Tickets for the stallion show and auction on 29 March are available directly at the box office in Elmshorn for 10 euros with free seating.
