She is only ten years old, but already has a long list of successes to her name: the Holsteiner of the Month for October, Carlesta by Casall-Corrado I, bred by Joachim Jürgens from Bollbrügge.
Born in 2016, the mare gained her first competitive experience under the saddle of Hinerk Köhlbrandt and Sven Gero Hünicke, before Mathies Rüder competed in her first show with Carlesta at the end of 2022. So she didn’t have to travel far to her new stables on the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn. Over the years, the grey mare from the Holsteiner line 42B and one of Germany’s most successful young riders have grown into an inseparable pair.
In September, the pair celebrated a significant victory at the German Youth Championships in Zeiskam: after four clear rounds on the course, Carlesta and Mathies Rüder secured the gold medal in show jumping in the young riders’ age group. For the rider, who enjoys international success in both show jumping and eventing, this was another highlight of a successful year.
Carlesta and Rüder have also enjoyed numerous successes in recent years. In 2025, they won the U25 Show Jumping Cup stage in Hohen Wieschendorf. They also achieved victories and top placings in international shows up to 1.55 metres, including in Bedizzole, Italy, and Kraków (POL).
