The catalog for the preliminary selection (October 27 to 30, 2025) for this year's young stallion licensing in December is eagerly awaited. And here it is (subject to change):

How does the preliminary selection work?
After being measured, the stallions will be presented running free and free jumping in the hall, then on hard ground. In addition, all stallions will also be presented in groups in walk rings, led by hand.
On Friday, October 31, the list of stallions approved for licensing will be published at www.holsteiner-verband.de.
Spectators are welcome to attend the preliminary selection in the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle in Elmshorn; admission is free. A specific schedule will follow in calendar week 43, after the participants have declared their readiness to start.
Please note that helmets are mandatory for presenters and whip handlers during the preliminary selection of young stallions!
