Autumn has already begun, and the perfect Holsteiner event is just around the corner. This Friday, the Holsteiner Autumn Event will be held at Elmshorn: On 25 and 26 October, a stallion licensing under saddle and the sport test organized in cooperation with the German Equestrian Federation (FN) as well as short aptitude assessments for stallions will take place. In addition, highly interesting horses will be auctioned off on Saturday (26 October) in the elite riding horse auction.
Access to the entire event is free of charge. With this year’s autumn event under the motto “Holstein meets France”, visitors may look forward to French culinary delights at Friday night’s Holsteiner Evening. But as a start, the focus is on the sport for the stallions. Friday, 25 October begins at 8:00am with the training of the stallions participating in the sport test. At 11:00am, the stallions to undergo licensing under saddle are presented on hard ground, followed by the free jumping test of the three-year-old stallions and the course jumping test of the four- and five-year-olds. At 5:30pm, day one is rounded off by the presentation of the elite riding horse auction lots, followed by the Holsteiner Evening.
Test rider phase, grading decisions and auction on Saturday
On Saturday morning (26 October) the test rider examination of all stallions to participate in the sport test and short aptitude assessment provides interesting insights. The day starts at 8:00am with the three-year-olds, followed by the older stallions. While the grading decisions are announced at 5:00pm, the first auction horse will enter the Fritz-Thiedemann-indoor arena at 6:00pm. Lot 1, Trippeltrappel, is a pony foal to be auctioned for charity. Together, the Holsteiner Verband marketing and auction GmbH and breeder Hans-Joachim Ahsbahs have decided to donate the proceeds of Trippeltrappel’s auction sale to the Therapeutic Riding Advisory Counsel of the Horse Sport Association of Schleswig-Holstein.
The get-together on Saturday evening is all about the sociable part of the weekend. DJ and electric violinist Vio Leen will provide the right mood.
