The Holstein Foal Summer in the core breeding region came to a close with the Foal Championships in the Bordesholm licensing district on 31 July. In the stallion rankings, a son of Cascadello I out of a Cellestial dam (Jens Böckenhauer, Boostedt), line 7126, took the top spot. The grey had been sold for the top price at the foal auction held during the Holsteiner Horse Days at the Herbert-Blöcker-Platz and will make a further appearance there on 15 August as part of the Holsteiner State Foal Championships.
Cascadello I also sired the winner among the fillies. Harm Sievers (Tasdorf) is the breeder of the foal, which is by a Grandorado dam and hails from line 1298. This foal has also qualified for the State Foal Championship.
