Verband stallions in portrait: Connor

Back home: Connor has moved into his stallion box at the Elmshorn stables.

He was awaited with joy by the Holsteiner breeders, because Connor has attracted attention in recent years through his successful offspring. Top athletes like Conner JEI (Martin Fuchs), Charmie (Antonio Alfonso/ITA) and Connor (Tanner Korotkin/USA) descend from Connor. He has already produced twelve State Premium mares and nine licensed sons in Holstein, including the successful stallion Chubakko under Christian Kukuk, as well as Connect and the premium stallions Christer and Coruscant.

Connor – a big-framed stallion with a particularly strong back, and with long and correct legs. As documented by the breeding value evaluation, he passes on above average type and movement. It is advisable to breed him to mares carrying uncomplicated performance blood.

The mating of the Holsteiner stallion Casall to the full sister of the top sire Corrado I makes Connor a highly interesting stallion in the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH stock. The female line 6879 ranks among the high achievers of the Holsteiner studbook. Already in the 1950s, this mare family attracted attention with the successful mares Baden (Hans Evers) and Original Holsatia (Fritz Thiedemann), later with Landlord (Breido Graf zu Rantzau, Ludger Beerbaum), and Lausbub (Achaz von Buchwaldt). Later representatives include Carlina, who competed at the London Olympics with Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer and Cassiato, winner of world cup classes with Australian Harley Brown.
