On Easter Sunday, 4 April 2021, ClipMyHorse.TV will broadcast a training day of the five- and six-year-old Verband stallions featuring Olympic winner Jos Lansink. As from 2.00pm, anybody interested may watch six stallions being prepared for the upcoming season.
The line-up includes Chezarro by Casall, Corfu de la Vie by Cumano, Crack by Cornet Obolensky as well as Khatou-S by Chaman, United Way by Uriko and Keaton by Kannan. The young stallions stood by the stallion keeping GmbH have already left quite an impression at the stallion parade hosted in the Fritz-Thiedemann indoor arena in February; moreover, Chezarro and Keaton performed brilliantly in their Munster-Handorf sport tests where they obtained top results. On Easter Sunday, breeders, friends and anybody interested in Holsteiner horses can see how the young stallions have developed since. “These past months breeders have not been given an opportunity to watch the stallions perform live, for example in competition, because of the Covid and herpes situation”, says executive director Norbert Boley. “But now, with important breeding decisions due, this way offers a fair and reasonable opportunity to present the stallions at their current level of training.”

Jos Lansink provides the Elmshorn rider team with valuable tips for the stallions’ further training. The achievements of the Dutch-born riding for Belgium include team gold at the Barcelona Olympics and a world champion title at Aachen, where he rode the commanding grey stallion Cumano by Cassini I, with whom he has won countless international jumping classes. “Jos attaches great importance to rideability and to working the horses in dressage, and I very much appreciate this”, says Boley. “Moreover, it’s an awesome opportunity for the riders to get instructed by such a top trainer.”
By the way: On 1 May at 11.00am, everybody interested is given another opportunity to view the young stallions stood by the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH. As always, the three- to six-year-old stallions will perform over jumps at age-appropriate level. Franke Sloothaak will provide the commentary. In addition to this, we are happy to present the young sires’ first foals – live or via video – to give an impression how the stallions pass on. The presentation will be either held live in the open or streamed through ClipMyHorse.TV, with the decision subject to the Corona regulations and to be announced at a later time.
