At the licensing in February, the licensing committee identified the Don VHP Z-Limbus son Deichkind (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen), mare family 8763, as "a very correct stallion with large hooves and a strong body". Furthermore, his strikingly powerful jumping with good back activity should be emphasized - and the stallion also impressed Managing Director Sebastian Rohde, so that he secured the chestnut for the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH.
"I am very happy to be able to offer this special stallion to our breeders in the future," said Rohde. "As soon as he has completed his short aptitude test - probably at the end of April - and then the quarantine period after moving to Elmshorn, he will be able to go to stud. Deichkind is genetically very well protected on both the mother's and father's side: "His father Don is a legend of international top-class sport and has completed around 100 faultless tests in 1.60 meter jumping with Harrie Smolders," explains the managing director. "And his grandmother Jakina was not only internationally successful herself, but has also produced several offspring that have been placed in advanced sports."
