About Chapter
This son of Conthargos was discovered by executive director Sebastian Rohde at the 2023 Holsteiner spring auction. In spring 2024, Chapter scored 8.51 overall in the Verden sport test, with special mention given to his ability. A representative of the impactful mare family 104A, Chapter has been licensed for the Holsteiner Verband just recently and is now available to the breeders through fresh semen. He has matured and developed, displaying true stallion type and three good basic gaits. The much-sought-after Conthargos blood has thus been acquired by the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH. His bloodline is very much influenced by Holsteiner genes. Structurally correct and with a good frame, Chapter, a paternal great-grandson of Contender is another asset in the stallion line-up.
Sire
Conthargos is listed among the top 20 on the WBFSH ranking of the top jumping horse sires in the world thanks to his highly decorated offspring, including Olympic horse Cosa Nostra (Alberto Michan/ISR), the 1.60m level jumpers and successful Pan American Games competitors Pia Contra (Nicolas Pizarro/MEX), Abril Iconthon (Leandro Moschini/ARG) and Condara (Luis Fernando Larrazabal/VEN).
His dam Cajandra Z is dam to a number of international jumping horses, including the successful 1.60m level horses Chacjandra by Chacco-Blue and Afrika by Converter I (Werner Muff/SUI).
Damline
The produce of Chapter’s second dam, state premium mare GM Solle, includes the stallion Cariano by Caretino. The direct damline has also produced Weihrauch CR (Thomas Voss/GER /Margrethe Hartmann/NOR) by Cristo, Cyrrus by Clarimo (Lisa Maria Räuber/GER) and VHS Concetti (Danylo Konovalov/UKR), a Casall son with results up to Intermédiaire I. Mare family 104A is known for its extremely dense performance output.
Considerations for breeding:
Chapter provides the breeders with an opportunity to secure the valuable Contender blood through his sire Conthargos. His three very good basic gaits, his balance, good type and rideability make this young stallion a promising stud. Chapter is also expected to pass on his frame and long lines to his offspring.
