With 26 stallions on show, the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH team around executive director Sebastian Rohde had come up with an entertaining and varied programme for the annual Verband stallion presentation in Neumünster.
From A like TB stallion Agamemdon to Z like Zuccero, the studs took turns in the Holstenhall arena. The younger stallions, like for example Update by United Way, Zuccarello by Zuccero or Daikon by Dominator Z were shown jumping an age-appropriate course. Tjark Nagel explained how the young horses are being introduced to future challenges in the presentation build like a training session while commentators Carsten Sostmeier and Sebastian Rohde provided the crowd with extensive information on the stallions. Sebastian Rohde set great store on giving information on the stallions’ personality as well, inviting the breeders to get into contact with individual questions and visit the Elmshorn stallion stable. The already experienced stallions demonstrated good form for the showing season already under way, like Cardentos by Cardento, Cahil by Cornet Obolensky, Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles, or Keaton by Kannan. Vigado and Keaton were ridden by Sophie Hinners, who had insisted on coming to Neumünster specifically for the presentation. She also took to the saddles of Million Dollar by Plot Blue, her former Nations Cup winner, and Crack by Cornet Obolensky, with the 2021 National Champion again being produced and shown by Richard Vogel this year. And also Rolf-Göran Bengtsson has another Holsteiner Verband stallion in addition to his current top horse, Zuccero by Zirocco Blue, in his ride: his performance with Charaktervoll by Comme il faut has given an impressive foretaste of the combination’s future in sport. Lukas Fischer presented Fidano by Fidertanz, an aspiring dressage stallion with great movement stood by the stallion keeping. The traditional presentation would be incomplete without Elmshorn’s veteran stars: Casall by Caretino, Clarimo by Clearway, Connor by Casall, Dinken by Diarado, Larimar by Lavall II and Uriko by Untouchable put up a fresh in-hand performance. Also on show were the two new stallions, Union City by United Way and Vidalgo by Von Holstein. Newly stallion-graded only this Saturday, they will be stood by the Holsteiner Verband. The Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH has also honoured its breeders during the presentation. The breeders of the most successful jumping horses by Verband sires according to the FN rankings received graded monetary awards up to 1,000 euros. The Verband stallion presentation has been recorded and is available for viewing in the ClipMyHorse.tv library.
