Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH Secures Champion Stallion Conchezz

He came, he saw, he conquered. Conchezz by Colestus-Caretino (Sören von Rönne, Neuendeich), mare family 6688, became the celebrated champion stallion of the most recent Holsteiner grading. Thanks to far-sighted investors, the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH succeeded in securing Conchezz for the breeders.

“It’s fantastic that we have been given the opportunity to keep this stallion in Holstein for the long term“, executive director Felix Flinzer is happy to say. Conchezz will be stationed at the Elmshorn stallion stable, produced for competition and be available by fresh semen from the 2025 breeding season.  He was a crowd favourite and the celebrated champion at the grading of the young stallions. Already displaying clear stallion type, he stood out with his winning appearance whenever he performed. According to breeding director Stephan Haarhoff’s description, “Conchezz presented himself as a super modern jumping horse with big proportions, loads of ability, striking presence and quick reactions. A Holsteiner jumping horse for the sport.”

Failsafe Sport Horse Genes
His sire Colestus is one of those stallions who meet the requirements of modern jumping horse breeding: both as a sire as well as a sport horse, he has lived up to high expectations. With Ludger Beerbaum and Christian Kukuk, Colestus was placed in numerous five-star-rated horse shows such as Hong Kong (HKG) and Paris (FRA), as well as the Verona (ITA), Madrid (ESP) and Stuttgart World Cups. And the now 19-year-old DSP elite stallion’s offspring excel, as well: among them crack 1.60m jumpers such as Greya (Kent Farrington/USA), Colestus Cambridge (Katharina Rhomberg/AUT) or Cellagon Cascais (Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann/GER). Conchezz’ dam Vinka is a representative of mare family 6688, a dam line bred over generations by the Mohr family of Neuendorf. Vinka has already produced a premium stallion by Diarado, Delta One, born in 2018, licensed in Holstein and now a Moritzburg state stallion.

“Conchezz is an extremely powerful and big-framed Colestus son, he jumps with a particularly forceful push-off and is a valuable addition to the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH’s stable”, Felix Flinzer is certain.
