Highlights on 1 May: Verband Stallions Shine With Their Presentation

The intention of the 1 May presentation, by now a well-established event, is to provide a vivid impression of the younger stallions stood by the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH. And so 16 breeding stallions between three and eight years of age presented themselves to the audience in the Herbert-Blöcker-outdoor arena and on the screens of ClipMyHorse.tv.

“All the stallions performed very well. Nevertheless, there were a few highlights for me. Firstly, this was the very first public performance of our three-year-olds under saddle. Cascolero by Casall, Crinch by Clarimo, Kantato by Keaton, Karlo de Kalvarie by Kassander van’t Roosacker and United Pleasue by United Way have all presented themselves in a good way mentally and demonstrated good physical development. This was quite special, in my eyes”, executive director Sebastian Rohde is happy to say. “This means a big thank you to Jayke Junge and Minou Eggers, who have presented our youngsters, who have already bred several mares, all of them, and can boast confirmed pregnancies as well, in an excellent, gentle and skilful way.” No longer a three-year-old, but according to Sebastian Rohde, four-year-old Deichkind by Don VHP stood out as well. The chestnut stallion performed under the saddle of Lucas Wenz and demonstrated good physical development. “It is great to see how Lucas and the stallion have adapted and adjusted to each other over these past month”, Rohde continues. Lucas Wenz also took to the saddle of Dubliner by Dinken, Cahil by Cornet Obolensky and Corfu de la Vie by Cumano. The line-up would not have been complete without Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, with many visitors looking forward to so see the Swede who had taken Charaktervoll by Comme il faut and Keaton by Kannan with him to Elmshorn. Both stallions wowed the crowd in the show jumping arena and with their ridability.
“Our aim was to provide an interesting and entertaining impression of our younger stallion for our breeders, and I think we definitely succeeded. We are happy that this offers has been so well received. Now we are starting into the outdoor showing season and hope that we will be able to continue the positive trend”, Sebastian Rohde said, summing up the day.

Anybody prevented from watching the presentation live or live-streamed, can catch up by watching a free recording in the ClipMyHorse.tv library.
