The Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH invites you to visit the traditional stallion parade at Elmshorn on Saturday 7 February at 12 noon, providing the breeders with an exclusive insight into the current studs. About 30 breeding stallions available during the up-coming covering season will be shown under the saddle, free jumping or in hand.
The focus will be on proven top sires same as promising up-and-coming stallions that will further improve the breed in terms of quality, performance and modern type. The presentation starts with the newly licensed stallions Vigado’s Level by Vigado, Carthago Sitte by Carthago, Chopino by Copino, Chacfly Diamond by Chacfly, Chacoris by Chacco-Blue and of course the reigning champion stallion, Dark Zuccero by Diarado.
Arne van Heel, Lucas Wenz, Maria Bodega, Mathies Rüder and Tjade Carstensen will jump most of the stallions under saddle, at age-appropriate level. The audience may look forward to seeing the 2024 champion stallion, Conchezz by Colestus, same as Cognac by Comme il faut. Both four-year-olds performed brilliantly in the aptitude test as recently as last week. Their five-year-old stable mates, Cascolero by Cornet Obolensky, Crinch by Clarimo, Kantato by Keaton I, United Pleasure by United Way or Karlo de Kalvarie by Kassander van’t Roosakker will also take part. The obstacles will be raised for the now six-year-old and older stallions, such as Deichkind by Don and Union City by United Way. In addition, visitors can expect exciting performances by Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles, Million’s Way by Million Dollar, Chezarro by Casall, Keaton I by Kannan, United Way v. Uriko, and Charaktervoll by Comme il faut.
International New Addition
But who can imagine a Holsteiner Verband stallion parade without the tried and tested studs and sport stallions? And that’s why it goes without saying that Casall by Caretino and Clarimo by Clearway will make an appearance as well. The presentation of Diarado, who is to travel to Elmshorn to share the limelight with some of his sons, will be a special treat. And then there is the new addition, H5 Turbo Z by Thunder van de Zuuthoeve. As of now, fresh semen from the 2021 Tokyio Olmpics reserve, winner of the 5-star-rated Lyon World Cup and Nations Cup performer, Turbo Z, is available through the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping. Under the saddle of Kevin Jochems, the Zangersheide-registered stallion jumped from success to success at the highest level.
This year, Holger Hetzel will join Felix Flinzer, the executive director of the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH, in providing expert commentary. And again, free stallion services will be raffled off. The stallion parade offers perfect opportunities for direct exchange with the Verband breed experts and selective information about possible mates for the up-coming season. There will be plenty of time for these talks after the parade, when the stallion stable is opened, inviting visitors to the aisle.
Tickets are 10 € and only available at the ticket office on site this year.
