1 May is all about the young Verband stallions at Elmshorn. From 10.00 am, the three- to seven-year-olds are shown at age-appropriate training level, with the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping team inviting everybody interested to have a closer look at the youngsters themselves as well as some of their foals, to chat and exchange views and, with some luck, win one of three free stallion services.
“This day provides an outstanding opportunity to get a really good impression of the younger stallions and their development”, says executive director Sebastian Rohde. This also includes the three-year-old stallions, prior to the presentation of the four- and five-year-olds – weather permitting, in the Herbert-Blöcker-outdoor arena - followed by their older stable mates. Most interesting for the breeders and their decision on which stallion to breed to are the presented foals, arriving specifically for this event. Presenter Henner Hoeschen is to provide the visitors with a wide range of information, while Derby winner Nisse Lüneburg has been won as commentator. The stable tour after the presentation offers an opportunity for individual questions while meeting the stallions close up.
In case you are prevented from attending on site on 1 May, don´t miss out on the ClipMyHorse.tv live stream. The Elmshorn team not only wishes you the best of luck for the current breeding season, but also for the prize draw held at the presentation on 1 May: three free stallion services are given away by drawing lots (one euro per ticket), with the entire proceeds going to the Holsteiner young breeders. Entry is free.
