1 May: Holsteiner Verband Young Stallions Live

It is worth taking a trip to Elmshorn or tuning in on ClipMyHorse.TV live next Sunday when the live presentation of the three- to six-year-old Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH stallions to the breeders kicks off at 11.00am.

“It’s going to be the three-year-olds’ first major public performance after the licensing – and under the saddle”, Nohoval by Nixon, Update by United Way and Zuccarello by Zuccero are announced by executive director Sebastian Rohde. As appropriate for their age they will demonstrate their basic paces. This also applies to Fidano by Fidertanz, but with the focus on dressage: he will give a dancing performance in the truest sense of the word under the saddle of Lukas Fischer. Having taken over the five-year-old’s ride just some weeks ago, the first training sessions are very promising.
The four- to six-year-old jumping stallions will perform a short course. This includes the winner of the short ability assessment, Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles, Dominator son Daikon or his stable mate, Camino Royal by Clarimo. They are all four-year-old and eager to perform their first outings in competition.

Stallions and Sendoff
And then we have got the more experienced stallions, like for example Charaktervoll by Comme il Faut, the reigning state champion and shining sport test winner who recently took home a young horse jumping class at L level. The public may look forward not only to him but also to Corfu de la Vie by Cumano, Kannan son Keaton, or the former champion stallion, Cahil by Cornet Obolensky. “I am very enthusiastic for Sunday’s presentation of the young stallions”, says Sebastian Rohde, who will have Karsten Huck as a co-commentator. “Even though we had been planning for the entire event to take place at the Herbert-Blöcker-outdoor arena, unfortunately it looks like the weather might upset these plans. No matter if indoors or outdoors – my entire team and I are very much looking forward to publicly present the stallions”, Rohde continues. The end of the event is to bring another highlight: following more the 40 years on the job, the outgoing executive director, Norbert Boley, will be given a farewell ceremony as he is to enter his well-deserved retirement.

Off we go on Sunday, 1 May, at 11.00am. As always, visitors may look forward to the drawing of three free stallion services.
