The collection of the 3rd Winter-Chance which is to complete the 2021 Holsteiner auction year on 12 December comprises about 35 horses. Over the last two years, this event has become established as an ideal platform for uncut diamonds to be produced by the new owners but also horses already started under saddle, some of them with competition results, have made it into the selection.
Like for example lot no 1, Quintheo R by Quintero-Casall: the six-year-old has already been placed in jumping classes to 1.10m and his full brother Theo has already been successful on the international stage with Dirk and Hannes Ahlmann. The direct damline of this big-framed dark bay has produced other top athletes placed to 1.50m. Lot no 5 presents very interesting as well: Allegretta by Adagio de Talma-Calido I shares the second dam with Mark Todd’s five-star-icon Leonidas by Landos who placed seventh in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. The XL sized grey mare is four-year-old and ready for the 2022 showing season. Lot no 12, Mitchell by Million Dollar-Uriko, is another offer with showing ambitions: the gelding born in 2018 is out of a dam successfully shown to 1.20m level herself whose produce also includes a stallion graded son: Zuccarello by Zuccero, recently licensed at Neumünster, is his half brother. His second dam is also dam to Crunch by Clarimo, a licensed stallion and highly successful jumper to 1.60m classes.
