“Recharge in March” could be the motto of the Holsteiner Verband on 22 and 23 March 2024, when not only the first Holsteiner stallion days with grading and joint stallion presentation of Verband and privately owned stallions take place at Elmshorn, but also the start into the new Holsteiner auction year: 36 horses have been hand-picked by the marketing and auction GmbH team – 14 youngsters waiting to be produced by their new owners and 22 ridden horses, some of them already boasting impressive show jumping results - and are now online on www.holsteiner.auction.
One of them is lot 114, I’m Special by I’m Special de Muze-Corrado II: this big-framed gelding started into the 2024 season by securing international 1.25m placings in the youngster tour under the saddle of a young female rider. The six-year-old has several show jumping half siblings successful at advanced level as well as other 1.60m jumpers from the direct dam line and is well on his way to catching up to his highly successful relatives. Lot 104 comes from the closest family of Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann`s “once-in-a-lifetime“ horse Lambrasco, with whom she became team world champion and won the Aachen grand prix in spectacular fashion. This four-year-old, Casco by Casall-Corrado I, not only looks similar to his famous relative, but also impresses with his first jumps under saddle. The family of lot 105, Castle by Castle Creek-Cormint, has produced a whole string of jumpers with 1.60m level placings, such as GK Coco Chanel by Clarimo (Conor Swail/IRL), GK California by Cosido (Lauren Fischer/USA) or GK Curacao v. Clarimo (Carsten-Otto Nagel/GER). The four-year-old is ready to perform a course and moved to the Elmshorn stables this week together with the other ridden auction candidates.
The first presentation of the lots is scheduled for Saturday 2 March 2024 at 1:00pm. From Monday 4 March, the horses can be tried out. The uncut diamonds arrive on Wednesday 20 March 2024 and are then ready for viewing.
