Holstein’s Treasury: Icons of the Breed Frozen Semen Auction Bid-Up from 6pm

Some highly deserving legendary breeding stallions have been assembled here: the Holsteiner Verband has opened its genetic treasury for an online auction offering a total of 19 straws from eminent sires. The crucial phase of the auction, the bid-up, begins today, at 6pm.

Then all bidders can hope for the right touch and the winning bid for straws from stallions which have left their mark in the history of the breed and the sport. While semen availability is very limited for most of these stallions today, the Holsteiner frozen semen online auction is different. The straws on offer – all of them approved for ICSI use – include true gems, such as frozen Carthago semen. He used to be one of the most successful stallions of his time – both from the sport and the stud perspective. Under the saddle of Jos Lansink, the Capitol I son competed at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics in Atlanta and Sydney, respectively, and won countless competitions at Grand Prix level. His sire Capitol I is also available with one precious straw. Also Lord and his son Landos represent valuable genes in the treasure chest, same as Corrado I, Capitol I, Caretino, Cassini I or Clearway.
