Holsteiner Trio Break € 100,000 Mark – Cahil Son Fetches € 175,000

The elite riding horse auction ended with a bang. Chuck by Cahil-Claudio was knocked down to Klaus-Peter Wiepert at a top price of 175,000 euros.

The four-year-old bred by Hans Werner Ritters was exhibited by Lars Tolkmitt (Lauenburg). A representative of successful mare family 730B, he had attracted a lot of interest already in the run-up to the event, and will be produced for competition by Christian Hess in Schleswig-Holstein.

Two other horses sold for more than 100,000 euros: one of them Tilly by Tobago-Cornet Obolensky (Reimer Detlef Hennings, Bendorf) from Holsteiner mare family 1859. The five-year-old mare already boasts results in competition. Her exhibitor, Wulf-Hinrich Hamann, was thrilled when she was knocked-down at 120,000 euros. The four-year-old mare Olivia Jones by Grandorado-Carthago (Zuchthof Hollen, Oyten) was another horse attracting loads of attention from clients and was knocked down at 105.000 euros.
“I’m more than satisfied with this premiere of our elite auction in the historic indoor riding arena. Everything went just smoothly. The outstanding lots, our reliable customers and the special atmosphere contributed to make the night a real success“, marketing director Felix Flinzer summed up the event. The 22 sold horses realized an average price of 49,000 euros.
