The starting signal for the CSI4* horse show at Hof Waterkant was given today. With many national and international show jumping greats having accepted Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Christoph Zimmermann’s invitation we’ll be certainly in for a treat with high-class elite sport over the next days. The Holsteiner Verband is also on board at this event yet again with the second instalment of the foal auction sale. Before the auction sale kicks off on Friday, 5 August at 9.00pm, the 14 lots on offer handpicked by head of marketing Roland Metz, will be presented to the public – right before the award ceremony of the thursday’s last and most challenging jumping class.

14 extraordinary and highly promising youngsters and three already transferred embryos have made it into the collection. Like for example Countdown by Cornet Obolensky-Casall, whose 3rd dam’s produce includes top-priced Holsteiner auction graduate L-Cinderella (Toni Hassmann), same as Cinca, currently successful with Daniel Meech). Another lot deserving mention is the filly called Chantilly by Crack and Quick Star from mare family 730B. Her direct dam line has produced countless international and championship horses, including Marius (Hinrich Romeike), Compadre van de Helle (Constant van Paesschen), Cefalo (Holger Wulschner) or else Caracho, who used to be Holsteiner champion stallion and is now successfully shown in competition up to 1.60m level by Richard Vogel. Another of the collection’s highlights is Presley’s Girl by Cascadello-Presley Boy: her 2nd dam, Free Lilly by Lord Liberty competed at the Athens Olympics under her sport name Who knows Lilly in 2004; bred to Cartani, she also produced the licensed stallion Christian (Sören von Rönne) who has been heading the Horsetelex sire ranking in his age group for several years now. Presley’s Girl – definitely a top recommendation.

In addition to the 14 foals by Emerald vant Ruytershof, Dominator Z, Aganix du Seigneur, Cornet Obolenksy, Chinchero, Chopin, Le Blue Diamond van‘t Ruytershof, Cascadello I, Clarimo, and Jasper, three highly interesting embryos, secured in cooperation with Christoph Zimmermann, will be auctioned on Friday, 5 August, including a full sibling Christian Kukuk’s Olympic horse Mumbai.
