Foal Fireworks in Warendorf: Holsteiner Champions of Tomorrow Realize 16,500 Euros...

Courage will be rewarded – this is very often true in life and definitely in the case of “Tomorrow’s Champions by Holsteiner“. The first instalment of the foal auction during the national championships in Warendorf ended with a brilliant result and a sales rate of 100 percent.

“I am very grateful to our breeders for their courage in consigning to this new platform and I am delighted with the fantastic atmosphere during the event”, says auction manager Felix Flinzer. Great atmosphere, a Warendorf Riding Club indoor arena packed to capacity and, above all, an elite foal collection made for heated battles of the bids: The top price was paid for lot 4, My Moonlight by Mylord Carthago-Chacco-Blue (Stutsborg Youngster/DEN). The filly, whose dame is a half-sister to Daniel Deusser‘s success horse, Tobago, met with tremendous interest and was eventually knocked down to the USA for 50,000 euros. With a knock-down price at 30,000 euros, lot 11, Mylady Korvette by Mylord Carthago-Kannan (Tomasz Olszewski/POL) was also very well paid for. The filly boasting Usha van’t Roosakker as her second dam will be based in Germany in the future. Lot 10, Safira JS by Calvaro-Diamant de Semilly, a filly exhibited by Danish JS Stables, was worth 25,000 euros to her new US American owners. Her fourth dam, Narcotique de Muze II, collected sporting merits at the highest level with Eric Lamaze. Two other foals realized 20,000 euro or more: one of them lot 24, Escamina by Eldorado van de Zeshoek-Colman (Henning Nickelsen, Husum), who went to clients from Germany for 22,000 euros. And the other lot 14, Sarielle vom Borndeich by Quel Homme de Hus-Contendro I (Wencke Haß, Herzhorn), for which the hammer fell at 21,000 euros. The mean price for the foals was 16,500 euros.

“This is a fantastic result“, says a happy Felix Flinzer. “I would like to say thank you to the Warendorf Riding Club for providing us with the opportunity and to our many volunteers from breeding district Europe. I am very happy indeed that this premiere has been so very well received.”
