The National championships in Warendorf have kicked off with all of horse-Germany and beyond gathering here to see the country’s very best youngster. The perfect time for the Holsteiner Verband to organize a foal auction with the champions of tomorrow at Reitverein Warendorf on 6 September.
“This is a special opportunity for our breeders, knowing that their Holsteiner foals will go to hands able to tap their potential“, auction manager Felix Flinzer is certain. For this collection will certainly be seen again competing at National Championships and international show grounds in the future. Lot 3, Movento AMK by Eldorado van de Zeshoek-Emerald van het Ruytershof, carries Harrie Smolders’ successful 1.60m level jumper, Walnut de Muze, as second dam, who, in her turn, is a full sister to the third dam of high-flying stallion, Million Dollar and countless other top sport horses. Lot 4 goes by the name My Moonlight and is by Mylord Carthago-Chacco Blue. And his dam is a half-sister to Tobago by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, whose results include a second place at Aachen with Daniel Deusser (GER). Another perfect fit for this auction is lot 7, Sweet ‘n Sexy by Eldorado van de Zeshoek-Lordanos: the filly’s dam is a half-sister to Con Quality by Chin Champ, who iced the title of national seven-year-old champion in spectacular fashion last year with Richard Vogel in the saddle. Two very interesting foals come from the direct dam line of Young Rider double European champion with Thibeau Spits (BEL), Classic Touch DH by Casall-Cancara: lot 8, Schön ist sie by Casall-Cancara. And lot 13, Viva la Vida by Vatson Sitte-Landlord. Lots 17 and 22 come from highly decorated eventing families: the dam of Cross Country TH by Casall-Quinar is Waikiki, who collected sporting merits for Sweden with Louise Romeike, for example at the world championships. Her Badminton horse, Wieloch’s Utah Sun by Limbus, comes from this family branch, as well. Among the selection’s quality lots is Captain Jack H by Connor-Contender, a direct relation to Nickel by Numero Uno. Under the saddle of Julia Krajewski, the gelding not only won the hearts of eventing fans at the Paris Olympics, but finished eleventh individually on his debut.
