Holsteiner elite foals, festival atmosphere and musical acts – the visitors of Auction ‘n Concert at Elmshorn on Saturday, 19 August can enjoy as much as several high-quality events at the same venue. 65 foals forming the elite auction selection and musical performances by Stefan Mross, Safiya and Marc Terenzi attract visitors to the Verband facility’s former harness racing track.
Not only does the foal collection string together the who is who of major sires and up-and-coming stallions, but also the dam lines prove very impressive with regard to their performance record: Third dam to lot 38, Ernesto by Eldorado van de Zeshoek-Calido I, is world champion and Olympic horse Taggi by Landgraf I (Sören von Rönne/GER), whose produce includes Cartani, the licensed stallion successfully shown at 1.60m level by Charlotte von Rönne (GER). Lot 65, Victory by Vigado-Sandro Junior, is closely related to Coolio (by Casalito), a highly decorated international competitor under the saddle of Marcel Marschall (GER). Victory’s second dam is dam to Marschall’s current no.1 horse, which was on the bronze-winning German team in the Nations Cup of St. Gallen (SUI). Lot 36, by Dourkhan Hero Z-Cayado is called Douglas: this attractive colt is a half-brother to the 2023 Holsteiner champion stallion, Diamantado by Diamant de Semilly. Lot 8 is a very interesting option as well: the rare colt by Carthago out of a Toulon dam boasting own results at S level, is aptly named Carpe Diem.

Carpe Diem, seize the day – this is the motto visitors should heed next Saturday with regard to the foal auction sale same as to the other things this outdoor event has to offer. With Stefan Mross, Safiya and Marc Terenzi performing on stage, Auction ‘n Concert is presented by ex-bachelor, Andrej Mangold. The musical line-up also includes a company of drummers and DJ and electric violinist, Vio Leen. Food trucks and cocktail booths provide food and drinks and bouncy castles ensure fun and entertainment for kids. Special conditions apply to Holsteiner Verband members, as they are charged only € 10 per ticket. Entry is free for young kids up to the age of 10. On 19 August, tickets are also available on site.
