The Holsteiner stallion keeping GmbH has great expectations for Quibery as the stallion meets the highest demands in so many ways regarding jumping quality, type, and bloodline.
The first effort is not always successful. True merit rather lies in long-term performance and quality. This is particularly true for Quibery by Quintero. At 2-year-old pre-selected for licensing and sent to Neumünster with stallion aspirations, he did not fulfil his free jumping potential by far and was thus not stallion-graded. But this decision did not affect his breeder family’s belief in his ability. Determined and purposeful, they produced the 3-year-old stallion on their own for Schlieckau 30-day testing in November. In the course of this test, he definitely convinced judges and experts with his exceptional jumping performance, resulting in a jumping score of 9.08 and a jumping index of 136.
The stallion was licensed at the Elmshorn stallion grading in January 2015 and then purchased by the Holsteiner Verband/ Holsteiner stallion keeping GmbH.
Performance bloodline, jumping ability, powerful hind quarters, carefulness and good canter are Quibery’s particular strengths. Breeders should take advantage of this stallion’s individual and genetic strengths to advance the breed. Considering these positive traits, Quibery should be bred to modern, leggy mares, preferably.

The stallion
is available at all stations of the Holsteiner Verband stallion stable.Confident about their dam line’s outstanding rideability and performance attitude, the successful breeder family decided to focus on jumping ability by breeding Quibery’s dam to Quintero, an international top athlete with numerous grand prix wins under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, and doubtless among the international stallions which stand out for their tremendous ability.
Quibery’s maternal bloodline meets the highest international demands. His dam Zenit is by world class sire Caretino and a full sister to Cartier van’t Schuttershof, a stallion licensed in Belgium and now a successful sport horse in the USA.
His 2nd dam, Kathy Come On, is a full sister to international top stallion Come On. The 3rd dam is Sühne, dam to the already mentioned Come On and to Noblesse M – this mare’s achievements under Pius Schwizer include winning team bronze at the 2008 Hong Kong Olympics. The 4th dam is Bühne, one of the Holsteiner studbook’s most influential mares.

Quibery‘s first competition season was exceptionally successful with many wins and placings in young horse jumping classes to M level. Under Jonas Panje, he won the Elmshorn State 5-year-old jumping Championship and qualified for the National Championships. Since early 2017, Quibery has been carefully produced for future tasks at Rolf-Göran Bengtsson’s yard and has already been very successful under Bart van der Maat. After winning the Breitenburg qualifier to the 2017 National Championships at 8.6, he went on to win the second 6-year-old jumping qualifier at the Warendorf National Championship where he qualified for the final. At the 2017 Lanaken World Breeding Jumping Championship he performed clear rounds in both classes. In 2018, at 7-year-old, Quibery not only won the Elmshorn State Championship but also the final of the Hamburg international youngster tour – a great achievement against keen competiton in front of an international expert crowd. Since 2019, Quibery has been shown by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson at international level.
30-Tage-Test 2014 in Schlieckau: Gesamt 8,11; ZW-Dres. 75 (-7); ZW-Spr. 136 (+9)
Several highly interesting Quibery foals were put up to sale at the the Holsteiner foal auctions in 2017. The highest-priced lot of the foal auction held during the Elmshorn State Championship was by Quibery out of a Cayado-Caretino dam and sold to France at 18,000 euros, and a colt by Quibery-Lordanos changed hands realizing 11,000 euros at the same venue. A filly by Quibery out of a Colman-Calato dam was selected for the first Global Jumping Foal Auction in Berlin and was knocked down at 18,000 euros.
Quibery has already produced a stallion graded son from his first crop. Quabrie by Quibery - Colman closely resembles his sire and is decribed by breeding director Dr. Thomas Nissen as follows: “This big stallion jumped right into the spectators’ hearts at Neumünster. Seemingly effortless and revealing tremendous jumping ability, the Quibery son easily copes with all demands.” Quabrie gave proof of his quality in the Neustadt upon Dosse 14-day ability assessment, where he stood out with a jumping weighted final mark of 9.7.
