Sunny Side First, a Trakehner born in 2006 out of a Tolstoi-Arogno dam (ZG Lorch/Becker) is a representative of the first Fragonard offspring with achievements in competition. In 2011, he won the Trakehner young event horse championship in Hanover in superior style, scoring 8.8 under his rider Kai-Steffen Meier and has now placed to CIC*** level. Flick-Flack, a Hanoverian by Fragonard - Leicester (breeder: Manfred Kutzner) is following a similar path to success with his owner-rider Sabrina Mertens.
The first Fragonard foals in the Holsteiner studbook were born in 2014. Otto Lienau, Haselau was the most successful breeder: He had the best filly foal of Pinneberg breeding district, by Fragonard out of Pinie I by Contender- Landgraf I. Fragonard’s foal evaluation-based breeding value is 122, with “type” estimated at 124 index points.
FreeLancer, ex Fragotino, a stallion-graded first-crop Holsteiner Fragonard son impressed the grading committee with charm, riding horse points and very good movement. Another Frago-nard son stallion-graded in 2017, Fracom, was sold to South Africa through the stallion auction.
