About Chinchero

When it came to the performances of the stallions in free jumping at the 2019 licensing, there was only one name: Chinchero. Free jumping in perfection in every respect. The nobleman moved full of energy and elasticity on all days. From the beginning of the performance to its end, there was only one description - perfect. This rewarded the audience with standing ovations and the licensing committee with the title of first reserve champion.
Chinchero is the favourite in Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann's stable! This is especially because of his excellent character and his good rideability - qualities which, combined with his caution at the jump and his great jumping ability, are the best prerequisites for an international sport career.
He is in no way inferior to his sire Chopin in jumping potential and has grown tall in the meantime with his 1.72m, yet light in foundation.

Pedigree of Chinchero

Sire

His sire Chopin is the result of the breeding philosophy and steadfastness of his breeder, Manfred von Allwörden, on the basis of stem 5064, a mare family held in high esteem at Grönwohldhof, with the foundation mare H Cabida. Chopin is out of her daughter Odina and by world class sport horse and sire Casall. Born in 2009, Chopin has been carefully produced by Mathilda Karlsson for years now; being her current no.1 Global Champions Tour mount, he also carries his rider’s hopes for the Tokyo Olympics. Chopin is an exception in international top level sport. Jumping quality, carefulness, and willingness to perform are synonyms for Chopin.

Damline

The damline carries three Holsteiner top sires - Clarimo, Cassini I and Caretino – in direct succession. Moreover, all of these world class stallions have been tested on the highest levels of the international jumping scene.
Quite significantly, not only Chinchero’s sire Chopin, but also his damsire Clarimo, his 3rd generation sire Cassini I as well as Caretino have been greatly influenced by the Caletto II blood.

The produce of Chinchero’s second dam also includes a show jumping offspring with results to S level as well as the Zangersheide-licensed stallion Chopano VA, another Chopin offspring. Moreover, also his third and fourth dam have produced sons and daughters with international results to S level, like for example Casseur de Prix, successfully shown to 1.60m level by US-American Janni McAllister.

Another Chinchero foal out of a Cancara-Caretino dam realized 12,500 euros when sold to Hungary at the elite foal auction sale in August.
