The stallions presented themselves in the best light at the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH stallion parade in the sold out Neumünster Holstenhalle. The final display of the very successful Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping Gmbh stallion parade saw a mayor player enter the Neumünster Holstenhall arena – Casall, at the hand of his rider, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.
The audience celebrated the now 19-year-old stallion which had finalised his competition career in the most terrific way by winning the Hamburg leg of the Global Champions Tour with standing ovations.
Before, his sons jumping a course had been proof of the Caretino son’s legendary status, not only as a sport horse, but also as a sire. Casaltino, Holsteiner champion stallion in 2013, demonstrated his ambitions for the upcoming showing season under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. “I’ll probably compete him in the Neumünster youngster tour, and then we’re going to see“, the Swedish rider said. Another Casall son, Casalito, is being produced by Christian Hess and aiming for international level this year. Even though just four-year-old Castle Creek will have more of an easy schedule, his powerful and elastic jumping under Ebba Johannsen confirms the high expectations in him. Dressage arena or jumping course – a question still under consideration for Casall grandson, Clarksville by Cascadello I, seeing that the four-year-old not only displays fabulous basic gaits under Ragna Thießen but also impressive jumping ability under the saddle of Phashalis Ballas.
The purchase of Uriko by Untouchable has been a very successful move by Norbert Boley, executive director of the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH. Wins and places at S level under Ebba Johannsen last season have confirmed the Untouchable son’s great jumping ability. And as demonstrated at the stallion parade, his sons, Unlimited – the 2016 champion stallion – and United Way seem to be well on their way to follow in his path.
“Million Dollar and Lewine“ – both co-commentators, Willem Greve, Nations Cup rider from the Netherlands and Peter Schmerling, were unanimous in their replys which stallions from the great number of very good jumping stallions they favoured most. While Million Dollar, with a picture book bloodline carrying Plot-Blue, Vigo d’Arsouilles and Cento, left nothing to be desired jumping the fences under the saddle of Ebba Johannsen, just three-year-old Lewine by Livello, two years ago the undisputed winner of the VTV Holsteiner Foal Championship in Bad Segeberg, demonstrated his exceptional quality free jumping.
Also at this year‘s stallion parade, the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH was happy about the active support by Schleswig-Holstein riders. Inga Czwalina, champion rider from the Island of Fehmarn, presented Adagio da Talma by Lamm de Fetan as well as the 2014 champion stallion, Caracho by Cassilano, Quiran by Quirado and Lenett by Loran were shown under the saddle of the Carstensen sisters of Sollwitt, Beeke and Teike.
“Not a single knock-down in the course of the afternoon – well, if that is nothing to be happy about”, Norbert Boley summed up the event following the presentation of the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH stallions. „Our decision to schedule the jumping of the four-year-old stallions just after the break was no real help for the stallions, as they got distracted by the visitors returning to their seats.”
