This coming weekend will see 48 auction horses looking for new owners at the second Holsteiner Winter Chance. The entire collection may be viewed online; moreover, during the week you may arrange individual viewings to get to know and try out the horses prior to the upcoming auctions on Saturday and Sunday.

As from Thursday, 10 December, the yet unbacked two- and three-year-old offers will be stabled at Elmshorn as well. Do contact us to have individual at liberty viewing in the arena arranged.  The applicable hygiene rules and regulations will be observed. The ten riding horses are already stationed for training at the Verband facility and can be tried out under saddle. The entire auction lot including pedigrees, pics, and videos is open for online viewing on, with x-rays available for viewing by registered users. From two- or three-year-old youngster to bring on yourself, to successful sport horse or pregnant mare, the selection offers a variety of interesting prospects. International jumping sires like Casall, Balou du Rouet, Comme il faut or Vagabond de la Pomme, Livello, Sandro Boy, Clinton I or for example Clarimo are represented by offspring. But younger stallions like Dinken, Charleston, Brantzau or else Castle Creek also send interesting offspring. “Many of the horses come from mare families highly successful at international level”, according to head of auction and managing director, Roland Metz. Like for example hip no 29, Calina by Calinello-Capitol I: Her dam, Genua V shone in 1.40m level competitions and her second dam, Zange (by Lagos), has produced several show jumpers successfully shown to 1.60m level. Or Ipanema by Caracho-Carentan (hip no 25), whose second dam, Piola, is also dam to  Casper vd Rode Poelhoeve by Casall, a jumper successfully shown to 1.50m level with current results at Grand prix (Guilia Martinengo Marquet/ITA). And hip no 6 – Creekside – a two-year-old Castle Creek-Chambertin son, whose second dam, a daughter of TB sire Exorbitant, has also produced the international eventing horse Mr. Bass (Laura Colett/GBR). On Saturday, 12 December at 9 o’clock, a live presentation of hip numbers 1 - 24 will be streamed on ClipMyHorse.TV , while the bid on starts on 3.00pm. The same applies to hip numbers 25-48 to be auctioned on Sunday, 13 December. Following the presentations, the horses may be tried out once again.
