The 35th Holsteiner spring auction sale had to be rescheduled due to the outbreak with equid herpesvirus 1 (EHV-1) in Valencia, Spain. The German Equestrian Federation (FN) has cancelled all breed and horse shows until the end of March.

Holsteiner Verband marketing and auction GmbH executives have responded immediately by rescheduling the auction sale along with all related events. The delivery of the horses to Elmshorn is now scheduled for 9 April 2011, with the first presentation, live streamed through ClipMyHorse.TV, to be held on 12 April at 6.00pm. Naturally, all those interested will have opportunity to try out the ridden horses afterwards until the day of the auction sale. Another presentation will be held on the actual day of the auction sale, on 25 April at 9.00am, with the sale of the 46 auction horses scheduled to begin at 3.00pm. Find all horses including all relevant information as well as videos online as from 20 March on holsteiner.auction. Executive director Roland Metz (+49 171 4364651 or rmetz@holsteiner-verband.de) and his team are always happy to answer any questions concerning the auction procedure as well as the individual horses.
