Catoo has tremendous presence and is extremely energetic and flexible. He carries himself well, always conveying the proud impression of correct breeding stallion.
His good rectangular frame and his wellstructured legs round off the convincing overall impression.
Under Markus von Holdt, Catoo became 4-yearold Stallion Riding Horse Champion at the 2011 Warendorf National Championship – an exceptional achievement for the Holsteiner studbook with Catoo the first ever Holsteiner in the National Championship’s history to win this title. The test riders awarded the stallion brilliant marks for his rideability (9.0 and 10.0).
Catoo was sold to the Schwiebert family’s Helenenhof stud in 2014. The breeding rights lie with the Holsteiner Verband, so the stallion continues to be available through frozen semen. Catoo has been approved for the Hanover and Oldenburg breeding programme, as well.
Catoo is able to pass on his own excellent movement to his offspring. The big-sized stallion should be preferably bred to elegant mares with a well-set neck known to carry dressage blood.

Sire
Catoo’s sire Con Air won numerous Nations Cup competitions with the Danish team and secured top grand prix placings all over
Europe under Lars Bak Andersen. Ridden by Otto Becker, he won the Hachenburg grand prix and was a member of the winning team at the Madrid Nations Cup final in 2008. Under his new owner Jose Larocca (Argentina), Con Air successfully competed at the Kentucky World Equestrian Games in 2010.
Damline
Catoo’s dam, state premium mare Flair, is 2nd dam to Canto, the 2004 champion stallion, which left quite an impression when his firstcrop son Cantoblanco became champion stallion at Neumünster in 2008.
Catoo’s dam line has produced three generations of S level offspring, with Lovely Boy (Norbert Koof), out of Birkeness and by legendary Landgraf I, considered the most successful representative of this mare family.
