Quiran

Quirado — Coriano

Description of Quiran

The Holsteiner breed’s development is fast paced. Stallions which used to be at the top of their trade on the show jumping scene not so long ago like Corrado I or Carthago, are now found as 3rd sires in the pedigrees of our young stallions. Quiran performed convincingly and achieved outstanding marks in the 30-day ability assessment as well as in his Schlieckau 70-day performance test. His impressive jumping ability earned him a training score at 9.0 and in the final test exam he was given a 9.75 by the test rider. He also earned 9.0 for willingness to perform and temperament. In 2013 he won the 4-year-old class at the Elmshorn Jumper State Championship in superior style. In 2014 he won and was placed in young jumper classes. Under Thomas Konle, he came third at the Elmshorn 5-year-old jumper State Championship and qualified for the National Championships in Warendorf. In 2015, he was successfully shown in many young jumper classes, finished 2nd at the 6-year-old jumper State Championship and also succeeded in qualifying for the National Championships again. Having been sidelined as a sport horse and breeding stallion for a longer period due to colic surgery, he was carefully re-trained and prepared for a sport horse career again after his recovery. He placed in jumping classes at M and performed first clear rounds in the international youngster tour to 1.40m. His sire Quirado – a successful sport horse before he got injured –is an own son of Quidam de Revel based on the successful mare family of Contender. His dam Pandora is by Coriano who placed 2nd at the 6-year-old National Championships under Bo Kristoffersen, went on to become an international success and later demonstrated performance attitude, ability and overall quality of the highest order under then junior rider, Judy-Ann Melchior. The sport proven foundation mare of this proven performance lines Quiran’s 5th dam, Ilona by Wüstensohn. She became German Champion under Hermann Schridde. Her achievements include winning the President Cup in the USA. His first foals have left a positive impression for being typey, modern, and of good quality. A Quiran-Quintero-Mytens xx daughter bred by Norbert Klein, Hegershausen, won the filly class at the Ober-Ramstadt foal championship.
