Quarz Ask

Quintero — Caretino

Description of Quarz Ask

At the Neumünster stallion approval, the medium-sized bay boasting lots of appeal convinced grading commission and audience alike. This Quintero son particularly stands out for his movement and resilience. His greatest talent however is his natural jumping aptitude. He is careful, with quick reactions, outstanding technique and uncommon scope. His first successes were in ridden classes with wins and placing under Markus Suchalla, like for example 3rd place at the Elmshorn riding horse State Championship in 2010. In 2012, he won young jumper classes at M* level and qualified for the Warendorf 6-year-old jumper National Championships under Thomas Konle. His first performances in the international youngster tour impressed breeders and top riders alike. In early summer, the stallion changed hands and is now owned by Stutteri Ask and ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. Very good performances at the CSIO in Odense, the Hamburg Global Horse Show, or the Münster “Winners’ Horse Show” clearly demonstrate Quarz’ potential. His sire Quintero can look back on an international top career under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. Quarz’ dam Picolina was the undisputed champion of the Elmshorn elite mare show in 2003, displaying the best movement and the best type in her age group in Schleswig-Holstein. The same year she gave definite proof of her own performance in the mare performance test, where she was awarded a 10.0 both in free jumping and by the test rider, completing the test at an overall score of 8.99. Quarz’ first sport horse offspring are already attracting attention. At the Lanaken World 6-year-old Jumping Championship, his daughter Quintessenz G qualified for the final under Simon Runte. Quibell, born in 2011, has already won several international youngster classes under Christoph Kaufmann in Wiener Neustadt. Quantino, a typey and very good jumping Quarz son licensed at the Neumünster stallion grading in 2013, became 4-year-old jumper reserve champion at the Dublin Horse Show and was much praised by international test rider, Denis Lynch. Another Quarz son, Quentin, has been stallion graded in 2015. After an injury Quarz couldn’t be shown for a longer period. This season he start to compete again under Karen Moeller Rohe (DEN) and had placings up to 1,40m-classes. Quarz Ask is still available to the breeders through frozen semen.
