On 31 March 2021 a new board has been elected by the delegate assembly of the Holsteiner Verband through a Zoom meeting.

Hinrich Romeike was elected chairman by a vast majority. Dr. Maximilian Slawinski got the majority of votes for vice chairman and Dieter Feddersen, Harm Sievers and Inken Gräfin von Platen-Hallermund have been elected board members, as well. Eventing Olympic gold medallist Hinrich Romeike is 57 years old and is lives in Nübbel near Rendsburg with his family. The self-employed dentist used to be spokesperson of the active German riders of all disciplines from 2008 to 2012, from 2012 to 2018 he held this office as the representative of the German eventing riders. The new vice chairman Dr. Maximilian Slawinski, comes from Soest in North Rhine Westfalia and also holds the post of vice chairman of the breeding district of the external members. The 35-year-old director of product management and marketing employed by Infineon Technologies AG successfully competes to S level in show jumping. Another new board member is Dieter Feddersen of Joldelund. The 49-year-old has been involved with the Holsteiner Verband for more than 20 years. Starting off as chairman of the young breeders in North Friesland, he went on to become delegate and eventually chairman of his breeding district. He runs a petrol station, a tack shop as well as the Pulverturm breed and sport stable. Another elected board member is the 57-year-old farmer and graduate business economist Harm Sievers. He lives in Tasdorf near Neumunster and has collected years of experience with honorary posts as chairman of the breeding district Bordesholm, member of the mare and foal inspection committee as well as engagements on club level and for the equestrian association of Schleswig-Holstein. The future board members also include the former German eventing champion, Inken Gräfin von Platen-Hallermund (45 years) of Friederikenhof. A graduate in business management and sport economist, she has been running a farm with her husband Sebastian since 2009, and used to be the Holsteiner Verband young and new breeders officer for 14 years.

The Holsteiner Verband management and the members of the elected board thanked the members of the interim board for their work. The newly elected board is going to take over from the interim board today, on 1 April 2021. To prevent elections of the entire board in the future, the terms of office have been graded. For a start, chairman Hinrich Romeike and board member Dieter Feddersen have been elected for one year, vice chairman Dr. Maximilian Slawinski and board member Harm Sievers for two years and board member Inken Gräfin von Platen-Hallermund has been elected for three years.
